Wanneroo Regional Museum is a modern, engaging space for learning and reflecting on our past. We offer programs focused on the ways that land and people's lives have changed over time in the community; Noongar cultural heritage; and commemoration in the community. Our programs are inquiry based and multisensory. We encourage curiosity and questioning! Content for all programs links closely to curriculum requirements for each year group. You can enhance your students' experience using our curriculum-linked resources. Sensory accommodations are also available on site.


Programs run once a day during school terms on Monday to Friday. 


Programs available:

Noongar Boodja Wanneroo (Pre-Primary to Year 3)
Duration: 3 hours
Mornings: 9.15am to 12.15pm (session includes a morning tea break)

Toys and Tech Through Time (Pre-Primary to Year 3)
Duration: 3 hours
Mornings: 9.15am to 12.15pm (session includes a morning tea break)

Curator for Day (Year 3 to Year 5)
Duration: 3 hours
Mornings: 9.15am to 12.15pm (session includes a morning tea break)


Schedule

  • 9:15 - Arrive and orientation
  • 9:30 to 9:50 - Introduction and timeline
  • 9:50 to 10:30 - 1st roation (lesson/museum)
  • 10:30 to 10:50 - Recess
  • 10:50 to 11:30 - 2nd rotation (lesson/museum)
  • 11:30 to 11:55 - Craft activity
  • 11:55 to 12:15 - Recap and depart


Pricing

Facilitated programs accommodate a minimum of 20 students to a maximum of 35 students with a tiered pricing system:

  • 20-24 students: $125.00 (inc. GST)
  • 25-29 students: $155.00 (inc. GST)
  • 30-35 students: $175.00 (inc. GST)
  • Adults are free of charge.


We require a ratio of at least one adult to five students. Additional adult helpers are always welcome.
