Are you making a booking for more than one class? Watch this short video first so you can make a single booking request for multiple sessions (it will save you lots of time!)

Term 1 and Term 2, 2024 are now booked out.

Travel back in time to Buckingham House and the Old Wanneroo Schoolhouse to explore life in the past. Students will get hands on with chores like butter churning, washing by hand, and needlework. They will make their own damper for morning tea, and use chalk and slate boards to practise copperplate handwriting in an olden day school experience while at the Old Wanneroo Schoolhouse. This highly experiential excursion brings history alive!

Enhance your students' visit by making use of our engaging curriculum-linked teacher resources, including dramatised film clips of being a student at the schoolhouse. We can provide sensory accommodations on site, and a visiting story and vocabulary list are also available.

Programs run on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

  • Time: 9.15am - 12.00pm (includes a morning tea break)
  • Recommended age group: Years 2-3

This excursion is available during school terms. We will confirm availability and the final cost within two business days after receiving your booking request.
